The Strategic Development Division monitors criminal and juvenile justice legislation and trends, oversees the department’s policies and procedures functions, and communicates relevant information both internally and externally. Additionally, the division responds to Public Records Act (PRA) requests; provides victim services; facilitates training; manages projects; is the point of contact for the department’s drug testing contract functions, and oversees department continuous quality improvement and strategic planning implementation; and utilizes research, data, and statistical information to guide and support work. All of these processes are in place to ensure consistency, relevance and efficiency in work being done throughout the department.
