Jessica Fort
Chief Probation Officer | Strategic Development Bureau
Jessica Fort has a BA in Communications from Cal State University San Bernardino and graduate work in Clinical Psychology as well. She began her career in Probation in 1997 as a DPO in Marin County where she worked various assignments for 13 years before promoting to SPO in San Francisco County Adult Probation where she supervised the Transitional Aged Youth Unit. After five years as a SPO, Jessica promoted to Division Director and oversaw the adult diversion program and transition center.
In 2018, Jessica moved to Alameda County Probation as the Superintendent of Camp Sweeney. As Superintendent, Jessica redesigned the program model at the 60-bed juvenile facility to align with best practices, including positive youth development, adolescent brain development, and the Youth in Custody Practice Model (YICPM). In 2022, Jessica was promoted to Assistant Chief Probation Officer in Marin County. As Assistant Chief, Jessica managed the budget of four bureaus (Juvenile, Adult, Juvenile Hall and Administrative Services). She most recently served as Director of Professional Development and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) for Contra Costa County.
Jessica has extensive experience leading change and leading and implementing effective practices. Jessica is a certified facilitator of Thinking for a Change and Core Correctional Practices from the University of Cincinnati.
