Victim Services

The Orange County Probation Department is committed to assisting victims of crime as part of its core mission. Victim Services is committed to serving victims of crime impacted by the offenders who are under the jurisdiction of the Orange County Probation Department.

The Victim Services Unit communicates directly with victims of crime to provide information about the Victims’ Bill of Rights: Marsy’s Law in California. Victims of crime are provided with the information that they are entitled to under Marsy’s Law and offered referrals to direct supportive services from local Victim Assistance Programs.

Restitution

The Orange County Probation Department has the responsibility of investigating and collecting restitution when ordered by the court for adult defendants sentenced to formal probation and juvenile offenders. The brochures linked below provided more information on restitution.
